Remember that once you put something on the Internet, it is out there for everyone to see, even if you thought it was for private use. If you get an uncomfortable feeling about someone you are talking with online, please let an adult (parent, teacher, or friend) know what is going on. |

Make sure to learn educate yourselves on what your children and students are involved in on social media. There are many apps for smartphones that are making it easier for predators to reach our children. Know what apps they have on their devices and speak with them about making sure they are safe.
Many apps such as Snapchat and Facebook are being using by students to bully one another. Bullying is not something that is taken lightly and can carry severe punishments. Encourage your children and students to be kind to everyone. If your child or student has been a victim of bullying or cyberbullying please report it. |
